Battambang (FN), Mar. 15 – Cambodian army commander lieutenant general Hun Manet said that the army must be prepared to perform its duty as commanded by the Royal Government, Ministry of National Defense, and General Command to ensure sustainable peace and national interests.

Manet spoke on 14 March 2023 when he presided over an inauguration of achievements at the 5th Military Academy, 5th Military Region Headquarters in Battambang province.

On that occasion, Manet also affirmed that in accordance with the kingdom's constitution, the principles, and the policy of Cambodia's national defense, the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), in its capacity as a force of the nation and the people, has an obligation to remain loyal to the nation, religion, the king and to safeguard the constitution and the legitimate Royal Government.

Manet continued that training is the primary means of ensuring the military's capacity and the sustainability of national defense. In this sense, the training school is an important place for the cadets of RCAF to be integrated with integrity, courage, strength, bravery, and professionalism.=FRESH NEWS
