Kampong Thom (FN), Mar. 9 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the management of land allocation for Tonle Sap Lake's residents shall consider two significant points, namely conservation and citizens' livelihoods.
The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of the 7th River Festival held on Thursday (Mar. 9) at Stung Sen Park in Kampong Thom Province.
"I would like to thank Chea Sophara and the leaders of relevant institutions and provincial authorities for their tireless efforts [Tonle Sap Lake's land allocation]. So far, the remaining tasks are not much, but I want to remind you to finish them.”
In the past, Samdech also urged the Ministry of Land Management and relevant authorities to continue to solve problems for the Tonle Sap Lake residents before April 2023.
