Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 2 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen proposed to stop claiming ownership of cultural heritage between countries with similar cultures.

The premier spoke at a gala dinner with artists on Thursday (Mar 2) at the Diamond Island.

The premier urged to initiate negotiations to end the disagreement, referring to Khmer and Thai martial arts.

Samdech also expressed his desire for countries with similar cultural heritage to jointly enlist similar cultural heritage in World Heritage list.

On that occasion, Samdech asked all parties to consider whether there could be any compromise reached with Thailand and other countries on this issue.
