Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 23 – Japan will send 40 arbitrators to assist Cambodia in hosting the 32nd SEA Games.
Japanese state minister for foreign affairs Takei Shunsuke spoke during a courtesy call on Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, held on Thursday morning (Feb 23) at the Peace Palace.
Takei Shunsuke pledged to strengthen the two countries' relationship and in the coming days. Japan will send 40 arbitrators to assist Cambodia in hosting the SEA Games.
2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-Japan diplomatic ties. Taking this occasion, Takei Shunsuke expressed his satisfaction with the Cambodia-Japan diplomatic relations, which has been upgraded from a strategic partnership to a comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as the cooperation in various sectors such as military, demining, and other sectors.
The 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia will take place from 5-17 May 2023. The 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia will begin from 3-9 June 2023.
