Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen received a courtesy call by newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia Park Jung Wook, held on Monday (Feb 20) at the Peace Palace.
According to Eang Sophalleth, the premier's personal aide, the South Korean ambassador informed Samdech Techo of the South Korean government's concerns over North Korea's missile launch. The ambassador said the missile launch is a threat to peace on both the Korean Peninsula and around the world.
In response, Samdech Techo underscored that Cambodia has always condemned North Korea's missile launch, which violates UN Security Council resolutions, escalates tensions and threatens global security and peace, especially the Korean Peninsula.
