Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 15 – Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian said that Chinese criminal cases in the kingdom, particularly human trafficking, have declined thanks to effective Cambodia-China law enforcement cooperation.

The ambassador spoke in the press conference, held at the embassy on Wednesday (Feb 15).

"The decrease of Chinese criminal cases have significantly granted favorable environment for a secure and safe economic, tourism, and trade cooperation," Wang Wentian underscored.

According to the ambassador, law enforcement cooperation between the two countries are important to build a Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future.

Ambassador said both sides are satisfied with the remarkable results of the cooperation.

Cambodia-China law enforcement cooperation was signed in 2019, focusing on the fight against all kinds of cross-border crime, especially organized crime, illegal online gaming, online scams, and drug trafficking.
