Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 13 – Cambodian information minister Khieu Kanharith said that the mistake of VOD is a serious professional misconduct that affects the honor and dignity of the Royal Government and that they refuse to abide by the law on the press.

Kanharith said at the Ministry of Information’s virtual weekly meeting on Monday (Feb. 13).

"In the case of disseminating information that harms any institution, organization or individual, the publisher of the statement shall publish the clarification letter of the affected figure in its entirety,” the minister added.

Kanharith continued, in principle, the Ministry of Information must take such action against all unprofessional media, not just the VOD.
