Indonesia, Jan. 31 (FN) – Cambodia handed over the chairmanship of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council to Indonesia on 30 January 2023, presided over by Indonesian commerce minister Zulkifli Hasan, secretary general of ASEAN Kao Kim Hourn, members of the council, representatives of relevant institutions and many international guests.

President of the Cambodia and Phnom Penh Chamber of Commerce tycoon Kith Meng virtually handed over the chairmanship to Arsjad Rasjid for the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2023.

On that occasion, tycoon Kith Meng highlighted the significant achievements made during 2022 as the chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council in promoting and enhancing the role of the private sector to become a good partner in building the ASEAN Economic Community despite the challenges posed by global economic and geopolitical issues.

Meng thanked all stakeholders for their support, which led to many successes and achievements during Cambodia's chairmanship of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council. In addition, he requested the full support of the chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2023 for the common benefits of the private sector and wished the new chairman success in leading the ASEAN Business Advisory Council.
