Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, head of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), said that the party will hold its two-day extraordinary general assembly this weekend from 28-29 January 2023.
The premier affirmed that the assembly was held for the purpose of discussing the 2023-2028 policy framework, speaking at the graduation ceremony of more than 3,000 students of the Western University, held on Thursday morning (Jan 26) at OCIC, Phnom Penh.
Samdech underlined that the party’s policy framework is not determined by Samdech alone or by the Standing Committee or the Central Committee, but a collection of thousands of intellectuals. They will attend and give suggestions for the political program for the next 5 years on the basis of what is already there and what needs to change.
On that occasion, premier Hun Sen added that the 2023 budget is a budget to serve people and these include raising salaries, assisting the poor and vulnerable households, who have been affected by COVID19 pandemic and so on.
