Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 18 – On Wednesday (Jan 18), the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation and Royal Group Koh Rong Development Company owned by tycoon Kith Meng signed a Memorandum of Agreement and Acceptance of Koh Rong International Eco-tourism Airport Master Plan on Koh Rong development area, Koh Rong municipality, Sihanoukville.
The signing ceremony took place at the Cambodiana Hotel in Phnom Penh, presided over by Mao Havannal, minister in charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation with the attendance of related ministerial department directors and officials.
"The construction of Koh Rong International Eco-Tourism Airport (Category 4C) on Koh Rong development area is spent USD 300 million to be completed within a period of 5 years," according to the joint statement seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jan 18).
On 28 February 2008, Royal Group Co., Ltd. has signed a Koh Rong lease agreement with the Council for the Development of Cambodia, representing the Royal Government of Cambodia, to develop as a business development areas and eco-tourism resorts including airport infrastructure.
