Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 11 – On Wednesday (Jan 11), Candlelight Party supreme advisor Kong Korm sent a letter to Fresh News requesting clarification regarding the case of his house on Sothearos Street, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon.

His remarks came after Fresh News published an exclusive interview with Cambodian deputy prime minister Hor Namhong on 10 January 2023.

In his letter, Kong Korm briefed a history of his current house, saying that he received permission from Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, who was back then a foreign minister, to live on the property.

"I remember that when I decided to move into this house, I did inform the foreign minister and he agreed to it," Kong Korm wrote.

According to his letter, Kong Korm has no legal right to occupy the property, the land and the houses.
