Kratie (FN), Jan. 2 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen congratulated teachers and students nationwide on the occasion of opening the new academic year 2022-2023 as well as congratulated students who started their first class.

The premier spoke at the groundbreaking for the construction of Kratie bridge across Mekong River, held on Monday (Jan 2) in Kratie province.

"Taking this occasion, I would like to congratulate teachers and pupils who participated in the opening of the new academic year 2022-2023. We are happy with the new students who started their first class today," the premier underscored.

Samdech mentioned due to COVID19 pandemic, the academic year of 2022-2023 has been extended to 2023. Normally, it is supposed to open in October, but it delays until 2 January 2023.

Samdech wished teachers and students nationwide to be safe from COVID19 and go get vaccine.
