Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced scholarships for female students at AFESIP Cambodia and encouraged them to pursue higher education.
The premier spoke when he and his spouse Bun Rany visited the organization on Sunday (Jan 1) in Phnom Penh.
The premier said he is delighted to see children have a wide range access to education. He also encouraged the candidates who did not pass the recent national exam to continue their efforts, either to study for the exam, or to study for an associate's degree at the university while also preparing for the exam.
The premier also offered scholarships for the six AFESIP students who passed the exam.
Samdech advised the organization to apply for scholarships for female students to continue their studies.
The premier encouraged those female students to pursue higher education, at least a bachelor's degree or, if possible, can continue for a master's degree and a doctorate.
“Investing in education is a long term investment,” he underscored.
