Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen further encouraged and supported the construction of affordable housing to promote the property right of citizens and urge to continue to implement of social land concession program to allocate land for the poor and build the houses for armed forces stationed along the border.
The premier spoke during the Ministry of Land Management’s annual meeting, held at the Ministry on Tuesday (Dec 27).
"We shall further implement the policy of providing social land concessions to poor citizens. On the other hand, we will continue to build houses for our armed forces stationed along the border, and also build houses for veterans," the premier underscored.
"I would like to clarify that Run Ta Ek and Peak Snaeng are the areas in our responsibility. I hope that in the future it will become the towns. We shall deal with the World Heritage issue and the citizens' problems. Ministry of Economy and Finance has prepared a budget for the necessary infrastructure [...] Chea Sophara shall complete this work," the premier continued.
Samdech also urged the Ministry of Land Management and relevant authorities to continue to solve problems for the Tonle Sap Lake residents by May 2023.
