Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen advised the authorities to work hard to resolve people's land disputes through alternative dispute resolutions, speaking during the Ministry of Land Management’s annual meeting, held at the Ministry on Tuesday (Dec. 27).
"We must continue to encourage the settlement of disputes at the local level through alternative dispute resolutions, especially land disputes, in order to strengthen the security of land tenure, create peace and harmony in society, facilitate the process of socio-economic development at the local level, and to accelerate the reduction of poverty," the premier underlined.
"When our country is peaceful, people are looking for land everywhere,” the premier added.
On that occasion, premier Hun Sen emphasized that there is only win and lose in court, therefore he urged out-of-court dispute resolution mechanism.
