Kampong Speu (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen continued to called on all people to save electricity amidst energy profit loss.

The premier spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction and upgrade of National Road No. 41 at Kampong Speu Province on Monday morning (Dec. 26).

The oil price and electricity price have surged due to COVID19 pandemic and sanctions on Russia-Ukraine war, the premier said. Therefore, he urged the people to reduce their daily energy consumption.

Cambodia has estimated that EDC will lose USD 100 million this year due to surging oil prices caused by Russia-Ukraine war.
