Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 18 - On December 12, 2022, ASEAN Omnimedia Seminar kicked off in Nanning, China. The host is the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and the organizer is the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat. Nearly 20 participants from the press administration departments and media circles of ASEAN countries such as Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia attended the online seminar.

Wei Zhaohui, Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. She said that the formation and development of the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership are inseparable from the high attention and vigorous promotion of the media, and the China-ASEAN Expo is impossible without the active support and enthusiastic participation of the media in ASEAN countries. As an important platform for opening up and cooperation between China and ASEAN, the China-ASEAN Expo is playing an increasingly important role in promoting the development of economic and trade cooperation between China, ASEAN, and even East Asia. She expected the media to continue to witness and record the new excitement and brilliance of the China-ASEAN Expo. In her speech, Wei Zhaohui also introduced to the participants the significant achievements and far-reaching significance of the 20th CPC National Congress. She expressed that China will continue to follow the path of peaceful development, adhere to the general direction of openness and cooperation, and is willing to continue to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind with people around the world.

It is reported that this two-week seminar invites many famous Chinese experts to introduce China-ASEAN cooperation, international communication, omnimedia integrated development and other multi-level, multi-content, multi-form course content and arrange "cloud visit", etc. To further strengthen the media cooperation between China and ASEAN, this seminar will promote the two sides to jointly meet the challenges of the "digital era", better demonstrate the achievements of China-ASEAN economic and social development and cooperation, better shoulder the mission of spreading the positive energy of China-ASEAN friendship and cooperation, and promote China-ASEAN people-to-people contact.
