Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 – On the margins of the ASEAN-European Union Commemorative Summit, Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn, in his capacity as the special envoy of the AEAN chair (SE) on Myanmar, addressed the Political and Security Committee of the European Union (PSC) on the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus (5PC) in a closed-door session, which was chaired by ambassador Delphine Pronk, chair of the PSC, with the presence of ambassadors from the EU member states. 

"During the closed-door session, Prak Sokhonn shared the updates on Cambodia’s efforts, in particular the works of the SE, in helping Myanmar restore peace and return to democratic path. He reiterated the importance of the full and effective implementation of the 5PC that seeks to advance three main objectives: (1) cessation of violence and ceasefire, (2) delivery of humanitarian assistance to those most in need, and (3) an enabling environment for the commencement of a dialogue process between Myanmar’s concerned parties," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Dec 15).
