Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 25 – President of the National Assembly of Laos Saysomphone Phomvihane thanked Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen for assisting Laos to successfully combat COVID19.
Saysomphone Phomvihane paid a courtesy call on premier Hun Sen on Friday evening (Nov 25) after attending the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Phnom Penh.
According to the premier’s personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, Saysomphone Phomvihane congratulated the kingdom’s success in combating COVID19, as well as hosting 2022 ASEAN Summits and Related Summits and the 43th AIPA.
At the same time, Saysomphone Phomvihane expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the 43rd AIPA, which aimed at promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.
“Saysomphone Phomvihane also expressed his satisfaction with the relationship and cooperation between the two countries, which has grown steadily, and also expressed his gratitude on behalf of the party and the state to premier Hun Sen and the Royal Government of Cambodia for providing fund, COVID19 vaccine, and trucks to help Laos successfully prevent the spread of COVID19,” said Eang Sophalleth.
For his part, Samdech thanked Saysomphone Phomvihane for attending the AIPA meeting in Cambodia, which reflected the support for the success of the AIPA meeting.
Samdech also informed Saysomphone the kingdom’s blossoming strategy that Cambodia has put in place to prevent the spread of COVID19.
