Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the Royal Government of Cambodia decided to send three demining expert from Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) to help train Ukrainian deminers.
The premier spoke during the closing ceremony of the 30th Anniversary of the National Convention on Mine Action in Cambodia held on Tuesday morning (Nov 22).
"Recently, the Royal Government decided to send three expert deminers from CMAC to help train Ukrainian deminers under the Japanese Assistance Project in Ukraine demining,” the premier underscored.
In the past three decades since 2006, Cambodia has participated in humanitarian activities by sharing the experience of clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) under the auspices of the United Nations in some countries around the world such as Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Mali, Central Africa, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
