Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 17 – edotco Cambodia, one of Asia’s leading integrated telecommunications infrastructure companies under the edotco Group, is one of the sponsors of Cambodia Tech Expo 2022. The expo, one of Cambodia's largest tech expos and conferences, focuses on innovation in technology, the economics, and digital society as well as the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).

With the theme "Addressing Challenges Together Through Tech Talents," CTX 2022 was held from 11-13 November at the Koh Pich Convention & Exhibition Centre (Building A-F).

Cambodia Tech Expo 2022 was not only Cambodia’s largest Tech Expo and Conferences but also a side event of the ASEAN Summit 2022. This was a great opportunity for the participants to attend the panel discussion and experience sharing sessions between experts, discover the ecosystem and potential of science, technology, and innovation, expand knowledge and business networking, and especially explore investment opportunities.

With over 4,000 mobile towers across the Kingdom, edotco Cambodia has been successful in building and deploying many Monopoles to improve the Quality of the Services (QOS) or mobile network coverage for Cambodians, as well as promote sustainable design and innovation that works in harmony with communities and the environment in the Kingdom.

“CTX 2022 serves as a forum for the growth of commercial relationships between entrepreneurs, MSMEs, industries, and investors. Additionally, it can support innovation, technology, and science. It's a significant campaign to increase awareness and provide shared frameworks, suggestions, and research. Additionally, it promotes an advantageous and alluring ecosystem for business prospects in science, technology, and innovation in Cambodia,” said Phillip Wong, chief regional officer of edotco for Cambodia and Laos.

In its effort to reinforce sustainable and green engineering, edotco Cambodia has also planned to utilise bamboo in the construction of its telecom towers. This is developed in collaboration with the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC). The research and development by ITC focused on the design and viability of bamboo as an alternative material to traditional steel structures in telecommunications.

Phillip Wong also said, “edotco is always experimenting with materials and innovative solutions to address the challenges of the telecommunications infrastructure industry. We have been working with our clients to support their communications and infrastructure building needs.

We are pleased to have collaborated with related partners for the benefit of Cambodians, especially in the fields of telecommunications and information and communication technology. Since Cambodia’s ICT sector is one with massive potential, and it’s in line with the country’s strong economic growth, we would like to invite all stakeholders and the public to actively join the event again in the future.”
