Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 12 – US president Joe Biden expressed his deep satisfaction with Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen for the latter’s stance on Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The US president spoke during a bilateral meeting with the premier, held on Saturday evening (Nov 12) in Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

Joe Biden informed the premier that the ASEAN community is important to the US, especially under his administration. The US supported ASEAN’s unity and centrality.

The US president lauded efforts of ASEAN under Cambodian chairmanship in resolving Myanmar crisis in order to bring Myanmar back to normalcy.

For his part, premier Hun Sen thanked the US for attending the ASEAN Summits in Phnom Penh.

The premier briefed Biden Cambodia-Japan cooperation in assisting Ukraine in demining and combating threats in the use of nuclear weapons.

Lastly, Samdech thanked the US for returning Cambodian artifacts back to the kingdom.
