Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 12 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen as a rotating chair f ASEAN 2022, said that the ASEAN Plus Three (APT) is an indispensable partner of ASEAN in all aspects of economic, peaceful and political cooperation.

The APT consist of 10 ASEAN members and the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

The premier spoke at the opening of the ASEAN Plus Three Summit on Saturday morning at the Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh.

"ASEAN Plus Three is an indispensable partner of ASEAN in all aspects, including economic, peaceful and political cooperation, which has made a significant contribution to promoting peace and prosperity in Cambodia," the premier underlined.

Samdech continued, “Today's meeting underscored the unwavering commitment of the leaders of the ASEAN Plus Three countries and the strengthening, as well as the deepening of cooperation in all fields, especially in jointly addressing difficult challenges in both regional and global framework.”

In fact, history has shown that no matter what the circumstances, ASEAN Plus Three always adheres to the spirit of unity.  To this day, the success of the ASEAN Plus Three cooperation comes from our relentless efforts of close operation and strong solidarity, the premier added.
