Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 3 – Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn received on 2 November 2022 the credential letter presented by Joseph Scheuer, who was designated by the UN secretary general as new UN resident coordinator to Cambodia. He extended a warm welcome to Joseph Scheuer while the latter expressed his good feeling "like back to home", referring to his previous services in different UN agencies in Cambodia
"Prak Sokhonn recalled the recent fruitful meeting between Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and UN secretary general Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The new UN resident coordinator expressed his thanks for the support and arrangement for the upcoming visit by the secretary general to attend the ASEAN Summits and Related Summits. Both sides underlined the importance of another meeting between premier Hun Sen and the UN secretary general on the margins of the Summits," according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Nov 3).
