Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 2 – Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian touched on the significance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and emphasized the building of China-Cambodia cooperation.

Ambassador Wang spoke at the webinar on assessing the outcomes of the 20th CPC National Congress, held on 31 October 2022.

“Over the years, we have heard all too many reports from Western media about imminent trouble for the Chinese economy, about China is closing up and the like of it. Nothing is further from the reality. It is made crystal clear in the report to the Congress that to build a modern socialist country in all respects, high-quality development claims a paramount priority,” said Wang.

“What I want to stress is that China has no intention to compete for supremacy, and never interferes in other's internal affairs. We have no interest in exporting our system or model, or seeking spheres of influence. This is who we were, who we are and who we will always be,” ambassador Wang underlined.
