Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called the former leader of the opposition party Sam Rainsy the “three-generation traitor”, speaking at the graduation ceremony of over 6,000 students of National University of Management (NUM), held on Monday (Oct 17) at OCIC, Phnom Penh’s Chroy Chongvar district.

“Sam Rainsy's grandfather, father and Rainsy himself all betrayed the kings,” the premier underscored.

Samdech added, "in the history of 500 years, no one is as corrupt as him [Sam Rainsy]”.

On 16 October 2022, Sam Rainsy, who is living in exile in France, announced again a plan to overthrow the Cambodian government in 2023, as Cambodia will hold national elections.

On his Facebook page, Sam Rainsy appealed to Cambodian people and the armed forces to change the leadership in Cambodia next year.

Sam Rainsy is the son of Sam Sary, a traitor who betrayed Cambodian late king father Norodom Sihanouk. Sam Rainsy had insulted the current king several times and was repeatedly convicted.
