New York (FN), Sep. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and a high-level delegation safely arrived in New York, the United States for the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly under the theme "A watershed moment: transformative solution to the interlocking challenges", held on 21-23 September 2022.

During his stay in New York, premier Hun Sen will also have meetings with secretary-general of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, president of the European Council Charles Michel, Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and Timorese president José Manuel Ramos Horta, as well as other leaders.
