Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen received a courtesy call by the president of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Abdulla Shahid, held on Monday morning (Aug 22) at the Peace Palace.

"Abdulla’s visit will emphasize the constructive roles played by Cambodia in the UN, especially in its capacity as the ASEAN chair, along with the roles of ASEAN and the UN in reinforcing multilateralism to address global issues, including climate change, post-pandemic recovery and sustainable development. Revitalizing the UN and strengthening the ASEAN-UN partnership will also be among the topics for discussion," according to the Foreign Ministry’s press release dated 19 August 2022.
