Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 18 – Spain recognized Cambodia's potential economy and is confident that it will attract more Spanish companies to invest in the kingdom.
Cristina Elisa Aguilar Jiménez, chargé d' affaires of the Embassy of Spain in Cambodia spoke in the handover ceremony of 300,000 doses of Spain-aided Pfizer vaccines, held on Thursday (Aug 18) at the Peace Palace.
“We recognize the potential economy of Cambodia and are confident that economic reforms undertaken by the Cambodian government along with the ease of the pandemic will attract more Spanish companies to invest in Cambodia and further contribute to the long-term growth and sustainable development of Cambodia,” said Cristina.
Cristina continued, “the world is confronted with many challenges and we need to cooperate more than ever to find long-lasting solution to build back better. I would like express Spain’s appreciation for Cambodia’s role in the United Nation forum and for its chairmanship of ASEAN and our sincere wishes of success in all your efforts to make the region a place of peace and prosperity for all.”
“Spain is a part of European Union, whose combined responses in the struggle against COVID19, allocating a total EUR 443 million funds programmed with three essential priorities such as (1) supporting people's health; (2) supporting people's livelihoods; and (3) support economic recovery and job creations,” she added.
