Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 18 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his gratitude to the People and Government of the Kingdom of Spain and other member states of the European Union for their continued contribution in the fight against COVID19.

The premier spoke in a handover ceremony of 300,000 doses of Spain-aided Pfizer vaccines on Thursday (Aug 18) at the Peace Palace.

The premier continued that through the donations of vaccines and a series of technical assistance, they have contributed in the fight against COVID19, as well as the socio-economic recovery in Cambodia.

The premier added, although new waves of COVID19 continue to emerge, Cambodia has been able to reopen the country in all areas, maintain normal socio-economic activities, as well as recover and boost strong economic growth.
