Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen urged Thai investors to review the possibility of establishing paper production and organic fertilizer factories, as they have a high market demand in the kingdom.
CP ALL’s chairman of the executive committee Korsak Chairasmisal paid a courtesy call on the premier on Tuesday morning (Aug 16) at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh.
According to the premier’s personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, Korsak briefed the premier his purpose of visiting the kingdom. He also requested some recommendations from the premier to invest in Cambodia.
Korsak also congratulated the kingdom for her rapid growth and development under the wise leadership of premier Hun Sen. He announced to offer 20 scholarships to Cambodian students, in which 10 are bachelor’s degrees and another 10 degrees on technical training.
Regarding the potential of investment, premier Hun Sen advised Korsak to discuss with Cambodian delegate minister and a secretary general of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Sok Chenda Sophea.
Samdech Hun Sen encouraged Korsak to consider investing in paper production in the kingdom. In addition, he also advised to consider setting up an organic fertilizer factory as it has a high market demand.
The premier thanked Korsak for offering scholarships to Cambodian students. Samdech advised Korsak to further work with Cambodian minister of education, youth and sports Hang Chuon Naron regarding the scholarships.
