Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 2 – Cambodian president of the National Assembly Heng Samrin received a courtesy call by the president of the Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association Nguyen Thi Thanh, on Tuesday (Aug 2) at the National Assembly, Phnom Penh.

Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her deep gratitude to president Heng Samrin for the warmest hospitality. She also congratulated the kingdom’s steady development in all sectors despite COVID19 outbreak.

Nguyen Thi Thanh briefed Heng Samrin on development of Viet Nam, particularly the National Assembly’s affairs and the cooperation of Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association.

Heng Samrin believed that the Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association plays an important role in contributing to enhance cooperation between the two nations in long-term and resilience in accordance with the two leaders’ visions.

He also congratulated Viet Nam on the rapid socio-economic development. Under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Vietnamese citizens will continue to achieve new progress in the development with prosperity and prestige, especially on the international stage.

Lastly, he encouraged the association to continue to strengthen and expand their activities in key sectors, such as economics, trade, education and science and more.
