Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 11 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that sports help maintain good health, which can contribute to enhancing economic productivity, speaking during the opening of the council meeting on Monday (Jul 11) at Sokha Hotel Phnom Penh.
“Truly, playing any kinds of sports can help maintain good health, which can contribute to enhancing economic productivity. Healthy people are more receptive to new knowledge and technologies, and more committed to increasing human capital that contributes to a high-quality workforce. In addition, well-being is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction, which have been shown to have a positive relationship with economic productivity” the premier underlined.
The premier continued, overall, physical education and sports activities are important to promote strong physical health, improve mental health and work, increase intelligence and improve the quality of life and happiness in the family.
