Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 1 – Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn, in his capacity as the special envoy of ASEAN chair on Myanmar, paid a courtesy call on Myanmar’s senior general Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC).

The meeting was held on 30 June 2022 and accompanied by deputy secretary-general of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Ekkaphab Phanthavong.

“Both sides exchanged views on the implementation of the ASEAN’s Five-Point Consensus, and the current political and humanitarian situation on the ground in Myanmar,” according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia.

Prak Sokhonn is leading a delegation to pay a second working visit to Myanmar from 29 June to 03 July 2022.
