Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 26 – Cambodian People’s Party has won 9,376 communal councilor seats at the 5th mandate communal elections and will lead 1,648 communes, according to official result released by the National Election Committee (NEC) on Sunday (Jun 26).

The Candlelight Party has won 2,198 seats and will lead four communes. Seven other political parties also got some seats.

Cambodia held the 5th mandate communal election on 5 June 2022. At least 7.3 million people went to vote, an equivalent to 80.19 per cent of the registered voters.
