Battambang (FN), Jan. 10 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced that Phnom Penh will be the only site to roll out Pfizer vaccines as the fourth dose, speaking on Monday at the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 5 improvement project.

"Since Pfizer vaccines cannot be delivered to provinces due to its required storage temperature, people living in the provinces need to come to Phnom Penh to get the fourth dose," the premier underlined.

On 9 January 2022, the premier ordered the purchase of additional 5 million doses of COVID19 vaccine. Currently, Cambodia has approximately 10 million doses in stock.

Samdech called on people to quickly get booster shot in order to prevent the outbreak of Omicron variant in the community.

Cambodia has so far vaccinated nearly 90 percent of her total population. More than 3.8 million people have received third dose or booster shot.
