Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 2 – Cambodia detected 23 imported cases of COVID19 Delta variant, according to the Ministry of Health’s announcement dated Friday.

"Results from Pasteur Institute on 25 June 2021 indicated 12 cases of B.1.617-2 (Delta). On 1 July, 11 other Delta cases were detected on passengers returned from Thailand through the Cambodian-Thai border," the press release said.

Among those, one case was detected on a health official in Oddar Meanchey province.
