Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 22 –Lanmei Training Center is an Approved Maintenance Training Organisation that provides approve basic training category B1.1 License in accordance with Cambodia State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) Regulations. The course includes both theoretical and practical training to meet the qualification standards of SSCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
Lanmei Training Center training program last for 2.5 years full time, intensive traineeship towards preparation for the grant of the SSCA – Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license. The training program consist classroom training, practical workshop training and on-job-training in real maintenance operational environment of SSCA approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) in Cambodia. In other words, trainee or students will have a hands-on experience working with live aircraft during maintenance checks.

At the completion of this training program, the attendee is able to become a qualified aircraft technician initially with issued Certificate of Recognition as a pathway to apply your Licence with SSCA Authority. At the same time while collecting work experience of 2 years on maintenance logbook before submission to the SSCA to be granted with an aircraft maintenance engineers license, which qualifies him or her to become a certifying license aircraft engineer with relevant aircraft type ratings.
The market growth rate of Cambodia’s aviation industry has also increased by as much as 100% in 2019. With the development of the market economy, several major airports in Cambodia are undergoing reconstruction and expansion. The expansion of Sihanouk ville International Airport was completed in 2020. At present, Local Cambodian Aircraft engineers (who hold the LAME license issue from SSCA) are lower than 10 persons, and there is a big demand from every airlines and 147 Engineering companies. As per government requirement 80% hire rate must be local and this is one of the initiative by Lanmei Training Centre to train the local persons fulfil the requirement.
