Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 8 – Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs, on 8 June, had a bilateral meeting with Chinese State Councilor Wang Yi as part of his working visit, to exchange views on promoting Cambodia-China relations and cooperation.
“Wang Yi reiterated China's continued support Cambodia's national development and safeguard independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. China also pledged to import more agricultural products, in particular rice and mango from Cambodia. To continue supporting Cambodia in the fight against the COVID19 pandemic, Chinese Government will donate 500,000 doses of COVID19 vaccines and deliver 4.5 million doses to Cambodia which will arrive Cambodia within this month, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ press release dated Tuesday.
The Chongqing Municipal Government also donated medical supplies worth 1.1 million Yuan.
“The two sides highly valued the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation between Cambodia and China. Both sides reaffirmed their strong commitments to strengthen and deepen the ironclad friendship and further enhance cooperation in many areas for the benefits of the two peoples and with the view of building Cambodia-China Community of Shared Future.”
