Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 7 – Science, technology, and innovation (STI), including industry 4.0, are considered an important sustainable and inclusive development source. Likewise, the government of Cambodia acknowledges that STI is among the key drivers to realise the vision of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050. Although the government has some policies and programmes to support STI, Cambodia faces a bunch of constraints, particularly human resource and skills demanded in science and technology.
