Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 28 – Phnom Penh Investigating Judge, on Wednesday, issued an order to arrest former CNRP leader Sam Rainsy, for violating the Royal Government's lockdown measures.

The arrest warrant was issued following a complaint filed by the General Commissariat of National Police after Sam Rainsy posted a video on his Facebook page on 24 April 2021, calling on people to revolt against the lockdown measures.

National Police Spokesperson Lieutenant General Chhay Kim Khoeun confirmed to Fresh News earlier today that the authorities have received the court order and taken actions.

Justice Ministry Spokesperson Kim Santepheap called on the people not to follow the incitement made by convict Sam Rainsy, speaking Wednesday at a press conference on the 7-day extension of lockdown in Phnom Penh and Kandal’s Ta Khmao city.
