Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 17 — The package of 500,000 doses of China-aided COVID19 Sinovac vaccines arrived Cambodia on Saturday.

Through this additional purchase, Chinese Embassy to Cambodia also reaffirmed China’s commitment to helping Cambodia fully overcome the virus on behalf of the ironclad friend.

More 1.5 million doses of COVID19 vaccine are scheduled to arrive the Kingdom in May; 3 million in June; 2 million in July; and 1 million in August.

According to plan, the Royal Government of Cambodia prepared 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccines for 10 million Cambodian people for free of charge.

As of 16 April 2021, Cambodia has vaccinated more than 1.2 million armed forces, civil servants, and civilians nationwide, according to a vaccination report seen by Fresh News on Saturday.

As of 17 April 2021, China has provided 3.3 million vaccines to the Kingdom, including 1.3 million in donation and 2 million through commercial procurement.
