Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 13 – Cambodia reported 181 new cases of COVID19, while 40 patients recovered on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 13 April 2021 (updated as of 10:00 a.m).
The newly infected patients are a 33-year-old Cambodian man returning from India and a 9-year-old Cambodian girl returning from the United States. They travelled through South Korea’s flight to Cambodia on 30 March 2021.
Another patient is a 50-year-old Cambodian migrant worker returning from Thailand to Cambodia on 11 April 2021.
The other 178 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are Cambodian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and French nationals from Kratie, Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Takeo, Sihanoukville, Kandal, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, and Phnom Penh.
To date, Cambodia has confirmed 4696 cases of COVID19 with 2252 recoveries and 33 deaths.
