Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 31 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on 31 March 2021, issued a circular on measures to prevent and control the spread of COVID19 during the Khmer New Year holiday, to be held from 14-16 April 2021.
The premier advised relevant ministries, institutions and local authorities at all levels to take necessary measures to ensure security, safety and public order, as well as the implementation of health measures against COVID19.
The authorities must comply with the laws and regulations in force in traffic management, transportation and all travels.
Cambodian citizens shall celebrate the holidays at home, avoid travelling to areas with high risk of COVID19 transmission, avoid any religious gatherings, and strictly implement the COVID19 preventive measures.
