Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 19 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on Friday, thanked all delegates for attending the Second Meeting of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) under the theme “Harnessing Culture and Innovation for Shared Prosperity During COVID19 and Beyond.”
“The COVID19 pandemic is wrecking global havoc. […] As we are forced to adapt to a new normal, it is imperative for us to be more innovative and visionary in transforming the crisis into an opportunity for reforms and progress. In this regard, investing in culture based development and promoting innovation based on our rich cultural resources are some of our main policy options. For Cambodia, cultural tourism and culture-based innovation industry are our strength,” the premier wrote in the congratulation statement dated 19 March.
The 2nd Asian Cultural Council Meeting was held online at 1 p.m. (Phnom Penh time) on 19 March 2021.
"The 2nd meeting of the ACC has brought together regional cultural experts and policymakers to share perspectives and find practical solutions in the context of COVID19 pandemic on two key topics including: 1) investing in culture and creativity for inclusive growth; and 2) promoting culture-innovation nexus.
