Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 4 – Cambodian government to provide WHO-aided AstraZeneca vaccine to Cambodian citizens who are 60 years old or above, Head of the Royal Government Hun Sen addressed Thursday at the press conference at Calmette Hospital.

People in the capital Phnom Penh, Kandal, and Sihanoukville provinces are the prioritized groups.

Premier Hun Sen advised Ministry of Health to swiftly provide vaccines to people, as the China-aided Sinopharm vaccine will expire in 12 months and the AstraZeneca in six months.

The government also announced to offer AstraZeneca vaccine to her development partners, including people serving in the civil society organizations based in Cambodia.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 909 cases of COVID19 with 484 recoveries and no death.
