Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 28 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced Sunday that he will get AstraZeneca vaccine on 4 March 2021.

“If nothing changes, i will go get AstraZeneca vaccine at 8:30 a.m on 4 March 2021 at Calmette Hospital, accompanied by a press conference,” the premier wrote on Facebook on Sunday.

The premier’s decision is viewed as a move to boost public trust on vaccine; and push the Cambodian public to get vaccinated.

“324,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine licensed to the Serum Institute of India (SII) known as COVISHIELD, will arrive at the Phnom Penh International Airport in the evening of 2 March 2021, according to the Ministry of Health’s announcement released Sunday.
