Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 12 – Cambodia’s Ministry of Health, on Friday, authorized the emergency use of China's Sinovac and UK's AstraZeneca COVID19 vaccines in the Kingdom.
“With the approval of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodia’s Ministry of Health grants emergency use authorization to China's Sinovac and UK's AstraZeneca COVID19 vaccines, effective from the date of signature,” according to the ministry's letter dated 12 February.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has announced the approval of three COVID19 vaccines, including, Sinopham, Sinovac, and AstraZeneca for emergency use.
China announced to donate 1 million doses of Sinopharm COVID19 vaccines to Cambodia. For the first phase, 600,000 doses arrived in Cambodia on 7 February 2021.
