Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 4 – Cambodia’s Ministry of Health announced on 4 February the authorization to use China's Sinopharm COVID19 vaccine, according to the ministry's letter seen by Fresh News on Thursday.

“With the approval of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodia’s Ministry of Health authorizes the use of Sinopharm COVID19 vaccine manufactured by China’s Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. under emergency use authorization in accordance with the Royal Government’s protocol, effective from 9:30 p.m.”

China announced to donate 1 million doses of Sinopharm COVID19 vaccines to Cambodia. For the first phase, 600,000 doses will arrive Cambodia on 7 February 2021.
