Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 15 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen sent a letter to congratulate Lao PDR’s Prime Minister H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, who has been elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) at the 11th National Congress of the LPRP Central Committee.

“On behalf of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and my own behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency on this auspicious occasion. The election of Your Excellency to this supreme position is a clear testament to the strong confidence that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the people of Laos in Your Excellency's competence and wise leadership in guiding national development so that your people can enjoy sustained peace, stability and growing prosperity,” the premier wrote in the letter dated 15 January.
